The Dybbuk (1937 Full Movie)

A young bride is possessed by the soul of a dead person on the night before her wedding. This evil malicious entity in Jewish folklore is known as a Dybbuk.  The Dybbuk is based on a play based on the Jewish folklore called The Dybbuk by S. Ansky, who spent many years traveling in research documenting his findings on the beliefs of Hassidic Jews.

The film stars Lili Liliana has the bride to be, Leah.  Leon Liebgold has Hannon/Channon, and Abraham Morewski as Rabbi Azrael ben Hodos.  Historically the film is considered one of the best movies ever made in this genre.  The films wedding scene was shot in the unique German expressionism style and is considered one of the finest Yiddish movies ever made.

Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright.
